Corporate Social Investment
As part of our “responsible corporate citizen” philosophy, we have supported various community projects in the region we operate in. We are single mindedly committed to extend our social programmes with a special focus on youth and women development through skills transfer and creation of real job opportunities for or communities.
ACH Projects organized two events in the past two months. The end of the first quarter in 2018 was about extending a hand of care to the Old people in the communities around Witbank. The First Event (Right) was organized at Phola Location, for the Group called Vukuzakhe Old Age Group.
The group consist of old age people (about 70 members) who meet on a weekly basis to do physical exercises. ACH Projects assisted with purchasing uniform (for the Old Age Group), organizing lunch and a monetary donation.
The 2nd visit was at the Clewer Location for a group called Vukuzithathe Kwamthunzi Center for the Aged, a group of about 162 members, was also assisted with a gift of the organization’s uniform, lunch for the day and a monetary donation. The latter group comes together for activities such as physical exercising and leisure travelling
Over and above the CSIs, the company spends 3% of its turnover on personal development opportunities, giving youth from around Witbank opportunities participate in Apprenticeship programs on 18 Months Cycles fully paid by the Company.
